Delete Your Account
Request permanent deletion of your GO ON TRIP account and associated personal data. This page is provided by Getaway Travels Group LTD, the developer of the GO ON TRIP mobile app and website, in line with Google Play Store account deletion requirements.
How to request account deletion
You can request deletion of your GO ON TRIP account in either of these ways:
- Complete the form on this page using the email address or phone number registered to your account.
- From the GO ON TRIP mobile app, open Profile → Security and choose Delete account if that option is available in your app version.
- Email support@goontrip.com from your registered email address with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".
We may contact you to verify your identity before deleting your account. Deletion requests are typically processed within 7 business days.
What data will be deleted
When your deletion request is approved, we delete or anonymize the following data:
- User profile information (name, display name, profile photo)
- Account details (email address, phone number, login credentials)
- User-generated data (saved trips, preferences, reviews, group content you created)
- App-related activity data (notifications, in-app settings, and usage tied to your account)
What data may be retained
Some information may be kept after account deletion where required by law or for legitimate business needs:
- Transaction and payment records related to completed bookings, refunds, or chargebacks (retained as required by tax, accounting, and consumer protection laws)
- Security and fraud-prevention logs (retained for a limited period, usually up to 90 days, unless a longer period is legally required)
- Information we are legally required to keep, or that has been fully anonymized so it can no longer identify you
